Boots don't stand up too much. I've had two pairs of 1490's, one steel-toed and the other not. Neither pair lasted fully a year; the first pair developed rips in the leather around the ankle and right behind the toe and the second pair has rips right behind the steel toe. Dr Marten's are cool-looking, sure, but for the price you're not getting a quality product that will last. The boots are made of low-grade leather. Next pair of boots I get, I'll be looking at Tread Air UKs, made of fine leather.
